Application of garlic juice and vinegar – Garlic is always considered as a very effective herbal treatment for any kind of fungal infection, due to its anti fungal quality. Here, when few cloves of garlic are crushed to make a paste and mixed with a little amount of white vinegar, this mixture makes a wonderful remedy for nail fungus, if applied directly on the infected nails regularly. The daily consumption of raw garlic with water is also a good option for preventing fungal attack.
Soaking of nails in diluted apple cider vinegar – Apple cider vinegar is known for its highly acidic nature, which has proved to be effective in killing the fungi and thus stopping their growth on the infected nails. Therefore, some amount of apple cider vinegar should be mixed with the same amount of normal water, and then the fungi-infected nails have to be soaked in this liquid for minimum 30 minutes per day for obtaining the best result.
Commonly used mouthwash in diluted stage – The usual mouthwash daily used at home is known to have antiseptic and anti fungal properties, which actually kill the bacteria of the mouth. Rubbing Vicks Vaporub over the affected nails – Vicks VapoRub is the most popular decongestant which is typically rubbed on chest for curing the common cold, but this same ointment can provide great results in destroying fungi when applied over the infected nails before sleeping at night, and then the affected hand or foot should be covered with glove or socks for retaining the warmth given out by Vicks VapoRub.
Application of lemon juice over the whole affected finger – Lemon is known to be very rich in citric acid; her own juice has been known to be really useful in stopping the fungal growth in the infected nails. Some drops of lemon juice have to be directly applied over the whole fingers or toes holding the affected nails and kept there for at least 15 – 20 minutes, before washing off with clear water.
