Was it worth my while buying this expensive Oral B SmartSeries 5000 toothbrush? After my last visit to the dentist and two more cavities, the dentist suggested the Oral B as a way to prevent further plaque build up and tooth decay and I hit Google to find out more.
And what I found convinced me to take the plunge. The Oral B uses pulsations and oscillations to brush and clean your teeth really well. It also acts as a flosser as its head is designed to clean between the teeth. It does so thoroughly as it gently massages the gums and improvements bad breath.
I went for it, as I want to keep my own teeth well into old age.
The Oral B SmartSeries uses a rechargeable battery.
It comes with a separate wireless SmartGuide that tells you how to brush your teeth properly while it monitors you for two minutes. There are five customized cleaning programs for you to choose from:
You brush your teeth in four sections with pauses between each part. The SmartGuide senses if you press too hard and generally guides you to do a proper job.
The most important part, of course, is what the brush head does. While it is pulsating and oscillating, it cleans your teeth so thoroughly that it even removes 99.7% of the plaque from the hard to reach at parts of your teeth and of course leaves none on the exposed parts.
The SmartGuide provides you with a small clock in your bathroom as a bonus. It also detects when the battery charge is getting low and that the brushes on the brush head are becoming worn out.
The Oral B is marketed internationally and client support is widely available through toll-free numbers at help desks to sort out what goes wrong.
Those users, who like it, like it a lot. The average rating of more than 400 client reviews at a store I visited, was 41/2 stars out of 5. Owner-users are enthusiastic because they see results in cleaner, whiter teeth and healthy gums. Using the Oral B Smart Series 5000 very quickly becomes a pleasant habit as your teeth and mouth feels clean and fresh.
No one wanted to go back to using a manual toothbrush. And, frankly, neither do I.
